Everything Food

I began my journey meal prepping once I started a family and its a GAME changer. The busy weekdays when there’s work, cleaning, cooking and extracurricular activities and the to list is endless; A crockpot meal straight from a sealed or ziplock bag from the freezer can ease your mind for what you’re going to do for dinner that night. In adulthood it is one of the most dreaded task for some, to come home after work, when the kids have homework or baseball practice.. the last thing you want to worry about is cooking food and all the dishes you’ll have to do after. I’ve been in the kitchen on the verge of tears because I knew that the next two hours of my life I would be stuck in the kitchen. Meal prepping not only can save you time through out the week (actually cooking, but also in cleaning) and it can save you from throwing away all the fresh veggies you didn’t want to chop up. Meal prepping for dinner can help you meal prep for lunches too. If you seal up enough to throw in the crock pot or dish in the oven, then you’ll have left overs that you can put into dishes for you and your significant other and kids for the next day. Saves time cooking, cleaning, and money in food that you would have otherwise possibly thrown away. Win-win-win. I’m usually planning meals on a pretty tight budget, so If I can plan meals that use similar ingredients for the week, then even better.
